Volunteers
As with any event, volunteers are the life-blood and a key to success. Your assistance is appreciated and greatly needed for support in order for event to succeed (pre-event, event day and post-event).
We need the following volunteers:
- pre-event to fill Sling-Bags [8] Starbucks
- start/finish area to install install & collect timing chips [8] Starbucks
- event registration kit p/u on Friday evening and Saturday AM [8] Starbucks
- clean up at site [8] Starbucks
- feed stations [Ashton- CampQuality/Bushtukah], [Perth- local volunteers/Norco], [Lanark Village- local volunteers/FullCycle], [Carleton Place- local volunteers/Greg Christie's], [Almonte- local volunteers/Kunstadt], [Carp- CampQuality/Bushtukah]
- traffic co-ordination [Ride for Dad]
- first aid certified [10]
- beer garden (must have online course) [8] Algonquin College
- van drivers [2]
- radio communication from start/finish area [2] GranFondoOttawa
- bike rack area assistance [4]
- medical/doctor [2]
- fund raisers [lots]
- promotions and marketing [4]
- items for auctions [value of $100.00+]
- items for draw [value of $25.00+]
