Director Generale ~ Greg Capello Drawing on personal experiences from other GranFondo events, charity rides and leaning on contacts made over many years, with the help and support of TeamReggioCapitale and the generosity of our great sponsors and volunteers, GranFondoOttawa will showcase some of the best riding routes in Ottawa and the Lower Valley while helping to promote cycling and driving funds to FondoFoundation2012. With a 1st Year goal of 1,500 riders we will generate in excess of $100,000.00 to support various causes.
Director Sportiv ~ John Atkinson Working as a trio with Greg/Brian, John’s many years of cycling through the Lower Ottawa Valley will lend valuable insight to help with route design, mapping and co-ordinate on-course signage.
Director Mangia ~ Mike Moffat Executive Chef Mike of Beckta/Play will stage and Manage the F&B details to provide our event with a first-class post-ride gourmet Festa to rival our Euro friends.
Director Gruppo ~ Brian Parkin Drawing on 40+ years of racing/riding, Brian will help with the route design and be a key liaison in the cycling community including fielding our PacoDiFama with riders past/present/future.
Director Cerimonia ~ Denis Marchand An active tournament director, Denis’ infectious personality and rekindled love of cycling will help us enjoy our day to the max.
Director Denaro ~ FondoFoundation2012 will co-ordinate the raffle/draw and pledge/donation initiatives for the event. Director of Volontario ~ FondoFoundation2012 will co-ordinate our pool of volunteers for the event.
Director Forma ~ TeamRC & Popeys’s Provide training and nutrition tips and leading our Sunday and Wednesday rides. Director Mediare ~ OnTrackDesignz|Strongvine|Brymark|PedalMagazine With 50 years of combined marketing and promotional expertise, will help us market the event.
